Hisaka Global Evaporator (GY Series) is a high-performance concentration system utilizing a plate type membrane flow system specifically engineered for high-viscosity liquids and crystallization-prone products. Unlike conventional falling-film evaporators that struggle with thick liquids, the GY series forces the product through wide-gap plates, ensuring smooth flow, efficient heat transfer, and stable concentration even for the most challenging liquids.
Specialized plate geometry with wider flow channels allows high-viscosity liquids (up to 10,000 cP) to flow smoothly without clogging. This design handles thick syrups, pastes, and concentrated extracts that would block standard evaporators.
Optimized flow velocity and surface finish prevent crystal formation and scaling on the heating plates. Ideal for products like sugar solutions, salt concentrates, and organic acids that tend to crystallize during evaporation.
Capable of reaching high Brix levels in a single pass or with minimal recirculation. The efficient heat transfer design ensures rapid water removal while maintaining product quality.
Openable frame design allows quick access for plate inspection and cleaning. The smooth plate surface and wide channels prevent residue buildup, reducing downtime and labor costs.
Compatible with multiple-effect configurations and vapor recompression. Reusing vapor heat significantly reduces steam consumption and operating costs compared to single-effect systems.
Vertical plate arrangement saves floor space. Modular design allows capacity adjustment by adding or removing plates as production needs change.
The GY operates through a continuous plate-type membrane flow process:
Raw product is pre-heated using recovered vapor or steam to near boiling temperature before entering the evaporator.
Product flows through wide-gap plates. High viscosity liquids move smoothly without clogging or excessive pressure drop.
Heat transfers efficiently through the plates. Water evaporates rapidly from the liquid surface, concentrating the product.
Mixture enters the separator. Vapor is recovered for energy reuse; concentrated liquid is collected or recirculated.
Product reaches the desired Brix level. The system maintains stable concentration even for high-viscosity outputs.
Concentrated product is collected. Automated CIP cleaning ensures sanitary conditions for the next batch.
Hisaka GY Series is ideal for products that are difficult to concentrate with other evaporators:
Glucose, fructose, starch syrup, honey, and molasses. Handles thick liquids up to 10,000 cP smoothly.
Salt solutions, citric acid, amino acids, and sugar concentrates that tend to crystallize or scale during evaporation.
Condensed milk, whey protein concentrates, and yogurt bases requiring gentle but efficient concentration.
Tomato paste, fruit purees, and vegetable extracts with high solids content.
Caustic soda, organic acids, and industrial chemicals requiring corrosion-resistant materials and stable concentration.
High-concentration food wastewater, plating wastewater, and industrial effluent requiring volume reduction.
Wide-gap plates handle liquids up to 10,000 cP, making it ideal for thick syrups and pastes that clog other evaporators.
Optimized flow prevents crystal formation and scaling, ensuring stable long-term operation without frequent cleaning.
Rapid heat transfer and wide channels enable high concentration ratios with minimal thermal exposure.
Openable frame and wide channels allow quick inspection, cleaning, and plate replacement, reducing downtime.
